As summer continued, we learned that a Renaissance couple had been reunited after a hundred twenty five years aside. The two portraits of Jakob Omphalius and Elisabeth Bellinghausen were created before the couple’s marriage in 1539. However, the two panels were separated at public sale and only in July did they reunite for the first Art News time.
