From numerous tutorials and assignments and through both guided and self-realization, the learner will discover where ideas come from, tips on how to develop ideas to completion and the way to evaluate the end result. To help experimentation as the focus of this course a cross/fail evaluation scheme might be employed. This course introduces the learner to typography and its relationship to graphic design and message supply. Learners will work with grids to construct page layouts and focus on the major practitioners and style actions associated with typography design. Applicants to the BS in Graphic Design program at Drexel University are required to submit a portfolio for admission.
